What's new in version 1.1A?

- small bugfix

What's new in version 1.1?

- most wanted from many players: a possibility to continue old games
- second most wanted: if you reach a door with all keys, you can
choose: leave or stay in level (i.e. for getting medi-packs)
- I added a bonus level
- some minor changes

General information

This game was developed for the CASIO CFX9850-G (the old fast-
graphics model). The AFX-version is a little bit different (map)
due to the missing colors.
Because of the size the game doesn't have a documentation. Use
this TXT-file instead.
If you give the game to your friends (and you should do this),
please give them also this TXT-file (printed or on disk). They
might need it to understand the game.

Story

Long time ago a warlock lived in the high mountains of Avalon.
He brought darkness, terror and poverty over the country. Many
brave adventurers tried to kill him, but none of them was ever
seen alive. As the people have almost given up hope you appeared
with the conviction to be successfull. The men were shaking their
heads and the women had tears in their eyes as you left, but this
couldn't put you of entering the dark dungeons...

The game

Only armed with a sword you have to get through 5 mazes sized 10x10.
You will see only one square at a time from the top. The lines on
the screen are walls, you can walk only between them. Use 8-4-6-2
to navigate. [EXE] shows the automatoc map (explained later).
On your way you have to find three keys in every level before the
exit opens.
After each level you will get a code. Use this code to continue
the game later right at this place.

The player

You as player have two main characteristics: agility and health.
The agility represents your experience and ability to fight. The
health stands for your physical condition. The enemies have also
these characteristics, so you can compare.

Fights

Walking only through the maze would be too easy, so there are enemies
(see enemies & stuff). If you meet them you have two possibilities:
fight ([F1]-key) or try to escape ([F6]-key). If you try to
escape you are placed randomly to one of neighbour-squares within
reach. You also lose two health points because the enemy can hit you
once.
If you fight, based on the agility rounds will be calculated. Every
round you or your opponent lose two health points. The one, whose
health points reach zero, is dead (for you: end of the game).
After level 5, when you are facing the warlock, you can't escape.
This is a life-and-death struggle.

The automatic map

The map showes every square in blue where you have already been
(important: now the lines are the WAY and NOT walls). If you have
found the map you will also see orange lines (interrupted lines
on the AFX). There you have not been yet.
The blue 5x5 pixels square drawn at the end is your current position.

Enemies & stuff

bats - These are small creatures appearing in groups. Mostly easy
       to kill.
ghost - Makes you more frightened than necessary. This is an easy
        pal, too.
skeleton - These are the remains of earlier adventurers. Now they
can't rest and walk through the mazes.
guard - Nobody has ever seen what is behind their mask. They were
sent by the warlock to stop you. Be careful, you are facing
        good fighters.
demon - These are creatures from the underworld and dangerous like
        hell.

medi-pack - increases health points by 2
weapon - increases agility by 1 (important). There is at least
         one in every level.
poison - decreases agility by 1 (very bad)
map - fulfils the automap
key - necessary to leave the level
