Description :

A simple tool that calculates the number of steps needed to get to one from the number you entered using the Collatz conjecture.
Here's how it works:
- If the number is even, divide it by 2.
- If the number is odd, multiply it by 3 and add one.
According to the Collatz conjecture, every number will eventually get to one within a finite number of steps. It has, however, never been proven.

I think you may add a link to Wikipedia's page about this conjecture.

Anyway, that's one of the most interesting mathematical problems I have ever heard of. I like the simplicity of the problem and the complexity of its resolution

Good Idea! I'll add it right away!
I liked its simplicity too, it still confuses me how multidimensional paradox stuff has been proven, but not this. It's also really fun changing e.g. 3x+1 into 3x+3 or something like that and seeing what happens!
